Play is for all dogs, from the high energy to the gentle souls. Play lets them be themselves, plays is how we learn, play is nature’s classroom.

We learn co-operation and trust, we learn inhibition and freedom. We usually smile, we always light up.

Getting the very best from your play-time. Learning to use play well and safely. From Whippit to Sheepballs. Games covering a wide range of preferences and energy levels. Shaping the reluctant or creative retriever. Shrugging off the stresses of every day life.

New games are always being invented by our creative partners: the dogs! They will engage our playfulness, deepen our connection and ensure we forget about everything else when we play. Play is therapy!

In the course we look at the variations of chasing games, carrying, fetching, flypasts, the classic Whippits and Sheepballs, flyers, sausage games, sharing toys, mouse. We examine the underlying motivations, what the dogs will be learning, how to play well and play safely.

Learning to read your dog when playing is a lifelong skill, discovering what their pleasures are, whether they want to be chased, or are just flirting with you.
